San Jacinto College Collaboration Event

[Photos courtesy of Andrea Vasquez - San Jac Marketing Dept]

In collaboration with San Jacinto College - South the library hosted a program for junior and senior guys titled "Men of Honor".  Several gentlemen from San Jac facilitated the event and engaged students in a variety of activities.  The main focus of the event was to encourage young men to enroll in college after graduation and pursue a career and live honorable lives as adults.  A big thanks goes out to our San Jac shared representative; Alexis Alexander.

Congrats Coach Sanders

T’Andre Sanders, head track coach at Clear Brook High School, was recently inducted into the Corpus Christi Carroll High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Sanders was inducted into the Carroll High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements as a member of the school’s football team in a special ceremony held on October 31 in Corpus Christi.
“This is something that really means a lot to me to be recognized for something that I really enjoyed doing,” said Sanders.
Clear Brook principal Michele Staley said she’s proud of Sanders for his accomplishments and what he’s done for the school.  “We are very proud of coach Sanders,” Staley said.  He has done amazing things for the students here at Clear Brook High School, and we’re even more impressed that his alma mater is recognizing him for his achievements and the positive impact he has had on students throughout his career,” Sanders said his experience as a high school athlete helps him better relate to his students.  “I had such a great time in high school and was very blessed to be coached by some great coaches that all influenced me in some way or another, and that has helped me be the coach I am,” Sander said.
