The wonders of 3D printing

Freddy the tortoise lost over 85% of his shell in a fire, but thanks to the wonders of a 3D printer, Freddy has a new shell and is out roaming again. Don't forget the library has a 3D printer as well and students are welcome to use it for school or personal use.  The cost only .10 per gram of filament used and files need to be in .stl format and can be emailed to Mrs. Sullivan for printing.

New creations everyday

Today, senior Ashley I. stopped by to pick up her very own creation that we printed on the 3D printer.  She was more than pleased with the results!
The support system that was necessary to build this creature was intense.  Everyday we are amazed at the capabilities that this 3D printer provides.

Remember if you have questions please stop by the library and ask either Mrs. Sullivan or Mrs. Kochner for all the details.

The latest 3D print job

Monday, before school let out, sophomore Sydney B. dropped off another 3D print job she'd created.  This time Sydney's design was a bit more elaborate than the last. She picked it up this morning and seemed to be very pleased with the way it turned out.  Check out her super cool 3D design and stop by the library for more details on how you can print too.

Batman as a Buddha?

Today Auston, a junior stopped in because he wanted to print Batman as a Buddha.  We don't ask a lot of questions - we just do as we're asked here in the library when it comes to your 3D creations. If you're interested see either Mrs. Sullivan or Mrs. Kochner for the details.

Robonauts finished robot mascot!

I think we have one very satisfied customer!  Congrats Ms. Medina and thanks for giving us the opportunity to print your special project! Each day we learn something new about the ins and outs of 3D printing.

3D print jobs in action

Math related chess pieces as a test print to see how many we can fit on the platform at once.

Ms. Medina's one of a kind robot, created by Coach Durant.  Can't wait to see the finished product; however it's a 13 hour print job, so we'll have to wait until tomorrow.
